Responsibilities
- Lead and drive secure development practices across Shipt’s engineering organization.
- Design, implement, and scale security controls and processes that protect applications, users, developers, and user data.
- Build software systems, APIs, automation tools, and developer-facing services that make secure development easier.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and influence security culture across the company.
- Collaborate independently and cross-functionally to translate business requirements into practical development solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on developer tooling or infrastructure.
- 4+ years of hands-on development experience with Go, Python, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience building with CI/CD systems as part of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with and deploying to cloud platforms, especially Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and remediation approaches.
- Experience with system design and architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
