Base Salary

$136k - $207k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain real-time, highly performant UI instruments for monitoring and controlling experimental aircraft systems from ground control stations.
  • Collaborate with flight-test engineers, systems engineers, and remote operators to translate operational requirements into intuitive and reliable workflows.
  • Establish front-end architecture, state management, reusable UI component, and performance best practices.
  • Use modern developer tools and AI code assistance with thorough review, auditing, and verification of generated output.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams on end-to-end integrations between ground stations and aircraft systems.
  • Lead technical design initiatives and contribute to product direction from an operator-focused perspective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with 5+ years of professional software development experience delivering production-grade web applications.
  • Alternatively, a master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, React including hooks, state management, and component architecture, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Understanding of software architecture, modular UI design, and front-end testing practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical goals and constraints and rigorously audit coding-assistant output.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in research or hardware-in-the-loop environments.
  • Must qualify as a US Person under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 to meet US export-control compliance requirements.
  • Preferred qualifications include aerospace or flight-test experience, Bazel familiarity, end-to-end architecture knowledge, telemetry visualization, dynamic mapping, command-and-control dashboards, low-level graphics APIs, real-time streaming data protocols, and desktop integration frameworks.

Benefits

  • Target base pay is $135,900–$207,100 per year, supplemented by Restricted Stock Units.
