Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain iOS applications for the Drawings tool and Unified Viewer.
- Lead complex iOS architectural evolution while balancing delivery with long-term performance and maintainability.
- Own feature lifecycles from technical design through staged rollout, using AI-assisted development tools with engineering quality guardrails.
- Build offline-first synchronization, download, annotation, cancellation, prioritization, failure-handling, and durable upload-queue workflows.
- Define test strategies and acceptance criteria, including unit, snapshot, and concurrency-deterministic tests.
- Instrument features with analytics and telemetry and diagnose main-thread stalls, memory pressure, and crashes using Instruments and crash reports.
- Document technical decisions, maintain module boundaries and routing conventions, and align shared annotation contracts with Android and web teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and modern iOS best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional iOS development experience using Swift, including shipping and maintaining a large production app.
- Strong expertise in UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Swift concurrency, and Combine.
- Experience building offline-first or synchronization-heavy features and improving reliability and performance in large modular codebases.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and technical communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with PDF or document rendering SDKs, canvas or coordinate-space mathematics, deep linking, QR scanning, SQLite, full-text search, iPad multi-window layouts, or Objective-C.
- Construction or field-work software experience is a plus.
