Responsibilities
- Write clean, consistent, and well-documented code.
- Implement, test, and maintain code for internal customers.
- Ensure code meets end-user requirements.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate new projects with existing applications and systems.
- Provide operational support for existing systems.
- Interface with program team members, technical writers, and engineering technicians.
- Work with professional software engineering staff through on-the-job training and mentoring.
Requirements
- Must be a Utah State University student majoring in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
- Must have at least one year of school remaining.
- Demonstrate some proficiency in common programming languages, Jira, Jira Service Management, relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and database design.
- Have introductory knowledge of software development processes including version control, peer reviews, and documentation standards.
- Must be able to work independently with mentoring and as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person.
