Responsibilities
- Design, train, optimize, and deploy predictive models for forecasting, deal and quote scoring, classification, anomaly detection, and ranking.
- Build grounded LLM automation and decision-support features using RAG, grounding, faithfulness validation, and tool-calling.
- Own offline and online evaluation, regression suites over real quote records, and quality criteria for shipped models and LLM features.
- Implement MLOps processes including model and data versioning, monitoring, drift detection, retraining, and CI/CD for machine learning.
- Use SQL and analytics over large quote, ticket, and telemetry datasets to identify opportunities and create training data.
- Integrate cloud-native services and REST/OData interfaces, and mentor less-experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Experience with feature engineering, model selection, training, hyperparameter tuning, and evaluation.
- Experience with classical machine learning, including regression, classification, forecasting, and ranking, as well as LLM-based systems.
- Proficiency with Python ML tools including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with LLM and RAG frameworks, rigorous model evaluation, and faithfulness checks.
- Experience with MLOps, including CI/CD for ML, model and data versioning, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
- Strong SQL and data-wrangling skills with large, messy operational datasets.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
- Experience with cloud-native deployment and REST/OData integration; SAP BTP experience is a plus.
- Exposure to CPQ, quoting, pricing, or sales and revenue processes is a plus.
- Ability to own modeling work end-to-end, act as a technical reference point, and mentor other engineers.
