Responsibilities
- Design, develop, improve, and deliver high-quality software solutions for banking applications.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, secure, and performance-optimized code using Oracle PL/SQL and Avaloq scripting.
- Support mission-critical systems in large IT environments with extensive technology stacks and batch processing.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, knowledge sharing, and technology communities.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical problems while advising stakeholders and influencing decisions within the area of expertise.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, and follow applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and codes of conduct.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Strong application development experience with Oracle PL/SQL in banking applications or products.
- Avaloq knowledge or experience with another core banking solution such as Finacle, T24, or BaNCS.
- Experience supporting mission-critical complex systems in a large IT organization, including environments with heavy reliance on batch processing.
- Knowledge of UNIX, Avaloq script, Agile Central, and SVN.
- Working knowledge of banking products and the software development lifecycle.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and banking application functional modules such as securities trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, and payments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- JIRA, Confluence, Visio, ServiceNow, and Agile knowledge are desirable.
- Ability to apply risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills.
