Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate highly available platform security services for F5 Distributed Cloud.
- Build authentication, authorization, certificate management, secret management, and key management capabilities.
- Write production-grade Golang code for distributed and performance-sensitive systems.
- Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes across multi-cloud and edge environments.
- Collaborate with product, SRE, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, threat modeling, and compliance and audit readiness efforts such as FedRAMP and PCI.
- Mentor junior engineers and help drive engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience in C++, Java, or Golang, with Golang strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux and Kubernetes.
- Experience building platform security services in authentication, authorization, certificate management, secret management, or key management.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, system design, and secure, reliable software development.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Claude, Codex, or similar.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to FedRAMP compliance obligations.
- Experience with AWS or GCP is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault or Keycloak is preferred.
- Experience with FedRAMP compliance initiatives, production AI/ML or LLM integration, and AI security best practices is preferred.
