Senior Software Engineer
The American Housing CorporationResponsibilities
- Build full-stack product workflows for the Alamo internal MES/ERP system.
- Build software supporting home design, configuration, refinement, land evaluation, developable-opportunity identification, and project-feasibility analysis.
- Design and implement production-grade frontend experiences using Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui.
- Build backend services and APIs using NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM, and shared Zod contracts.
- Model operational domains including parts, inventory, production, purchasing, quality, work orders, real estate, design systems, and factory workflows.
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, design, real estate, and operations teams to translate business processes into software.
- Own features from discovery through implementation, rollout, iteration, and long-term maintenance.
- Establish engineering patterns for software scaling from internal tooling into mission-critical infrastructure.
- Improve system reliability, observability, performance, security, and developer experience.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building full-stack web applications in TypeScript.
- Deep familiarity with React and modern frontend architecture.
- Strong backend fundamentals, including API design, data modeling, service boundaries, and production debugging.
- Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
- Track record of shipping complex product features in ambiguous environments.
- Strong product judgment and ability to work closely with non-technical operators and stakeholders.
- Care for clean abstractions, thoughtful user interfaces, robust tests, and maintainable systems.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.
- Experience with manufacturing, ERP, MES, inventory, logistics, construction, or industrial software is a plus.
