Responsibilities
- Analyze memory consumption in Java microservices running on Kubernetes.
- Profile Spring Boot services to identify sources of high memory usage.
- Explore JVM tuning, cache reduction, and GraalVM optimization strategies.
- Build proof-of-concept implementations and measure performance and resource savings.
- Present results, recommendations, and expected cost benefits.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Dutch education system and resident in the Netherlands.
- Bachelor's or master's study in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of Java and microservice concepts.
- Interest in performance tuning, profiling, and optimization.
- Basic experience with Linux, Spring Boot, or containers.
- Analytical mindset and strong communication skills.
- Dutch and English language ability.
