Responsibilities
- Develop the REANA reproducible analysis platform for running containerized declarative analysis workflows.
- Develop the LHCb Ntupling service that enables researchers to request custom open data from the LHCb experiment.
- Work across frontend and backend software engineering technologies.
- Deploy, monitor, and secure applications using container technologies.
- Collaborate with LHC experimental physics teams, external institutes, and partners on open data, open science, and reproducible analysis infrastructure.
- Participate in standby duty and work nights, Sundays, or official holidays when required.
Requirements
- Have experience with full-stack software development and frontend and backend engineering technologies.
- Have experience with container technologies, application deployment, monitoring, and security.
- Have experience with React, Python, and Go.
- Have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Have basic familiarity with computational research data analysis principles as a preferred qualification.
- Speak and write English and be committed to learning French.
- Be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- Have no more than two years of professional experience since graduation by the application deadline.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, an equivalent qualification, or a related field.
- Have never previously held a CERN fellow or graduate contract; applicants without a university degree or with a PhD are not eligible.
