Base Salary
$74k - $147k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate Azure cloud infrastructure and applications using PaaS, IaaS, and Terraform-based infrastructure as code.
- Deploy applications using Azure services including Application Gateway, API Management, Container Apps, Azure SQL Database, and Redis.
- Configure Azure networking components and topologies including virtual networks, network security groups, private DNS, private endpoints, and ExpressRoute.
- Monitor Azure applications using Log Analytics, Application Insights, and metrics, and improve scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with engineering and development teams.
- Evaluate and recommend Azure, DevOps, and related tools, technologies, and processes.
- Standardize DevOps resources, enable engineering teams, mentor colleagues, and lead complex DevOps projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Substantial DevOps experience, ideally including at least four years focused on Azure DevOps engineering or another technical cloud-focused role.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-native services and Azure best practices.
- Knowledge of containerization, orchestration, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and cloud transformation technologies.
- Experience with Terraform and scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, networking principles, OSI models, observability, site-reliability principles, SQL, and relational databases.
- Production experience supporting, operating, and maintaining applications, including experience with logging, monitoring, and application performance management tools.
- Track record of leading complex DevOps projects and strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, mentoring, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
- Relevant Azure certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Architect are preferred.
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, data engineering infrastructure, cybersecurity certifications, vulnerability management, or single sign-on products is desirable.
