Responsibilities
- Design, develop, install, document, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop new software features for financial processes.
- Use accounting expertise to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
- Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
- Provide support and consulting for software system usage.
- Ensure work complies with project plans, coding standards, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Have 3-7 years of software development experience.
- Have prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
- Understand financial operations including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
- Be proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Have experience with backend API development and relational database storage and retrieval.
- Be familiar with database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, software engineering tools, development methodologies, and release processes.
- Have demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
