Responsibilities

  • Design and develop TypeScript serverless backend services on AWS Lambda behind API Gateway with JWT authorization.
  • Build and maintain React/Vite applications hosted on AWS CloudFront with complex multi-step flows and global state management.
  • Integrate enterprise systems and third-party APIs using authentication patterns for end-to-end workflows.
  • Provision and manage shared infrastructure with AWS CDK, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and CloudFront resources.
  • Design data persistence patterns using DynamoDB and MongoDB while following PII masking requirements.
  • Support feature-flag-driven delivery and progressive production rollouts.
  • Collaborate on architecture, code reviews, shared packages, services, and new functionality.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated end-to-end tests with coverage across critical user flows.
  • Monitor, triage, and resolve production incidents using Splunk or CloudFront request tracing.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, estimation, and technical risk assessment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Experience building and deploying serverless architectures with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFront, and CDK.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and Vitest or Jest.
  • Experience with RESTful API design, JWT authentication, and OAuth2/OIDC flows is preferred.
  • Experience with Playwright or similar automation testing frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience integrating enterprise APIs or middleware platforms such as Mulesoft is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PII masking, data privacy, and secure-by-default coding practices.
  • Familiarity with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and precise context-aware prompting is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort with pull-request-driven code review.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Occasional travel to off-site meetings or conferences is required.
