Responsibilities
- Perform general application or webpage design, implementation, and documentation under general supervision.
- Assist staff with designing upgrades to existing system software.
- Evaluate current applications and future needs to help determine future projects.
Requirements
- Be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Postal Service security clearance; clearance is required to start.
- Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university and graduate after August 2027.
- Major in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
- Be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
- Be local to the Topeka, Kansas area or willing to commute onsite daily.
- Preferred qualifications include a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, with 3.7 or higher strongly preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include presentation, writing, communication, teamwork, small-group leadership, autonomous work on complex projects, and full life-cycle project experience.
Benefits
- $24.50 per hour base pay.
- Full-time summer 2027 internship lasting at least 10 weeks.
