Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and release Python, XML, and other software for the Cisco Network Services Orchestrator platform.
- Integrate software with Cisco ASR9K and Juniper MX routers and support WAN network changes and customer-system sustainment.
- Develop REST APIs and parse, generate, and validate JSON in a Linux software-development environment.
- Troubleshoot and configure IP networks using routing methods such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF, or static routing.
- Perform network and software design, implementation, integration, analytical research, and performance-related engineering tasks.
- Create software, functional, technical, architectural, testing, installation, deployment, and configuration documentation.
- Identify, report, monitor, and mitigate technical risks while supporting delivery, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Collaborate with team members, mentor lower-level network engineers, and serve as a technical resource.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher is required.
- DoD 8750 certification at IAT Level II, Security+ CE, or an equivalent certification is required.
- A BS with 4–8 years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience is required.
- Python software-development experience, including REST API development and JSON parsing, generation, and validation, is required.
- Experience with distributed version-control software such as Git and Bitbucket and software development on Linux is required.
- Experience troubleshooting and configuring IP networks using BGP, ISIS, OSPF, or static routing is required.
- Experience with service-provider or enterprise IP networks using Cisco or Juniper routers is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Cisco IOS XR, JUNOS, Cisco IOS, MPLS, VPLS, pseudowires, QoS, YANG, NETCONF, RESTCONF, Cisco NSO, XML, object-oriented programming, software-defined networking, full software lifecycle delivery, and software design documentation.
- Cisco or other major network-system vendor certifications, strong communication skills, and project, technical, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-management skills are preferred.
