
Aveva Senior Engineer (Digital Transformation)

- Deliver digital automation projects through requirements design, specification, configuration, programming, testing, installation, and commissioning.
- Review engineering outputs, manage structured testing, and prepare or approve specifications, test scripts, support manuals, and other system documentation.
- Support modernization and digitization of AVEVA and third-party solutions, including ongoing technical support.
- Deliver solutions against time, cost, and quality targets while identifying project risks and commercial opportunities.
- Mentor junior engineers and support service teams in resolving customer issues.
- Provide technical input to bids, delivery estimates, planning, and customer sales meetings.
- Lead UX/UI and digitization knowledge-capture sessions and translate findings into solution designs.
- Maintain compliance with quality, health and safety, cybersecurity, project delivery, and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AVEVA technologies and knowledge of digitization packages, modernization, and solution design.
- Experience with SCADA, telemetry, computer networking, and software engineering, ideally including Geo SCADA or EcoStruxure Automation Expert.
- Experience working across the full project lifecycle and meeting cost, quality, and schedule targets in project environments.
- Willingness and ability to work at customer sites in the UK and overseas.
- Familiarity with cloud and hybrid cloud/on-premise deployments and control-system cybersecurity.
- Experience in at least two relevant sectors, such as Water and Wastewater, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Cyber Security, Food and Beverage, critical national infrastructure, or Renewable Energy.
- Experience with digital communications, industrial networks, and protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, and REST APIs.
- Strong customer, stakeholder, communication, and project risk-management skills.
- Recognised engineering qualification, such as an HNC, HND, or degree.
- Competence with common operating systems and standard office software tools.
