Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, sustainable Java solutions for complex customer environments.
  • Make architecture and design decisions and ensure long-term maintainability, scalability, testability, and quality through reviews and engineering standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and customers on complex engineering, technology, and architecture questions.
  • Support the professional development of development teams as a technical sparring partner.
  • Contribute to proposals, feasibility studies, and solution designs.
  • Work in agile project teams using Scrum or SAFe.
  • Use AI-assisted software engineering tools and contribute to new approaches such as agentic engineering.

Requirements

  • Completed university, ETH, or university of applied sciences degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience analyzing, designing, and developing with Java, including Core Java, the Spring ecosystem, and JPA/Hibernate.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Tech Lead providing technical leadership to development teams.
  • Very strong knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot, microservices architectures, and software architecture design.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, Swagger, and integration of legacy systems using SOAP and batch processes.
  • Practical expertise with relational databases, complex SQL queries, and data modeling.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization and orchestration, and cloud platforms.
  • Practical experience with AI and AI-assisted development, plus interest in agentic engineering approaches.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
