- Drive cross-domain technical decisions covering data models, integrations, UX principles, and field workflows.
- Deliver digital capabilities for supply chain, quoting, workflow optimisation, knowledge management, safety, compliance, customer experience, and productivity.
- Establish engineering excellence through architecture standards, automation, observability, testing, release processes, telemetry, performance tuning, and secure-by-design practices.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, failover behavior, caching, offline capability, and user trust in challenging field conditions.
- Shape security, SRE, quality, resilience, and platform-wide capabilities across engineering teams.
- Use automation, data, telemetry, profiling, monitoring, and AI-assisted diagnostics to improve delivery and reliability while retaining human accountability.
- Lead through influence across squads, coach engineers and analysts, create playbooks and guardrails, and run knowledge-sharing communities.
- Partner with engineering leadership, product managers, field operations subject-matter experts, and external tooling providers.
Requirements
- Principal-level technical leadership in complex, cross-domain software platform environments is required by the scope of the role.
- Ability to design scalable architecture across mobile applications, backend APIs, orchestration layers, and field operational workflows.
- Experience balancing near-term delivery with long-term architectural sustainability and solving ambiguous problems with incomplete data.
- Experience establishing engineering standards covering security, testing, observability, reliability, performance, release readiness, and integration patterns.
- Ability to lead through influence and expertise without direct line management, coach engineers, and drive adoption across squads.
- Experience using telemetry, profiling, error tracking, synthetic monitoring, automation, and AI-assisted diagnostics to inform technical decisions.
- Experience designing, integrating, and operating AI-enabled enterprise solutions, including prompt-driven workflows, retrieval-augmented systems, and AI agents.
- Understanding of field workforce operations such as installation, service, or repair, plus related compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in product-led organizations and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prepare and manage data for AI workflows and oversee responsible AI feature lifecycles from experimentation through continuous improvement.
Benefits
