Base Salary
$300k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack applications and infrastructure used by researchers to conduct experiments, collect feedback, and analyze results.
- Partner with research teams to understand workflows and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Design intuitive interfaces and abstractions for complex research tasks.
- Create reusable platforms and tools that accelerate research application development.
- Prototype, ship, gather user feedback, and iterate on solutions rapidly.
- Own complete product areas from user discovery through design, implementation, and ongoing iteration.
- Contribute to technical strategy and architecture for research tooling.
- Mentor engineers and help establish best practices for research application development.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on full-stack development.
- Proficiency with modern web technologies including React, TypeScript, and Python.
- Experience building tools, platforms, or infrastructure for technical users.
- Ability to rapidly prototype, iterate, operate independently, and develop expertise in complex technical domains.
- Strong product instincts, user-facing application experience, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience with research tools, scientific software, experimentation platforms, machine learning, AI research, data visualization, internal tooling at scale, open-source platforms, creative tools, or human-computer interaction is a plus.
