Responsibilities
- Analyze user stories and develop secure, maintainable Java code with Spring frameworks.
- Participate in design discussions, peer code reviews, integration testing, and QA validation.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and AWS cloud-based deployments.
- Monitor and debug production systems using Prometheus and OpenSearch.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and a rotating production on-call schedule.
- Collaborate with product, QA, architecture, and other engineering partners.
- Use AI-powered developer assistants such as Copilot and Claude to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of Java version 1.8 or later development experience with Spring, including REST, MVC, and Security.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud environments.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with REST API design and consumption patterns.
- Proficiency with Bitbucket and Git workflows, branching strategies, and merge conflict resolution.
- Experience with IntelliJ IDEA or Visual Studio Code and Maven or Gradle.
- Understanding of secure coding practices, application security fundamentals, SQL, relational databases, debugging, logs, and monitoring tools.
- Strong verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Curiosity, a growth-oriented mindset, and willingness to explore AI-powered developer assistants.
