Responsibilities
- Rapidly deliver business-driven AI solutions by integrating existing cloud models and APIs.
- Translate business goals into technically feasible AI-powered solutions in collaboration with squad leads, data scientists, architects, and full stack engineers.
- Integrate Google Cloud AI services and machine learning models into microservices and workflows.
- Design, implement, deploy, and monitor intelligent agents for automation and personalization.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build and GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers and SREs on deployment and monitoring.
- Maintain API references, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and other technical documentation.
- Conduct internal demonstrations and training sessions.
- Ensure AI solutions comply with METRO’s responsible AI and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Proven Google Cloud Platform development experience, including AI services such as Vertex AI, Document AI, BigQuery ML, and agent development frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of third-party LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and Azure OpenAI, along with prompt and context engineering.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and API-driven, event-driven, or message-driven development patterns.
- Proven programming experience, with Python required.
- Knowledge of agentic development, such as the Google Agent Development Kit.
- Proficiency with coding assistant tools and rapidly building proofs of concept.
- Knowledge of BigQuery and CI/CD pipelines in Google Cloud Platform.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, learn quickly, and iterate rapidly.
- Very good written and verbal English fluency.
