Base Salary
$224k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and optimize CI/CD infrastructure and build pipelines for large C++, Python, and firmware repositories.
- Improve build reproducibility, caching, dependency management, and build-system performance using Bazel or similar tools.
- Automate embedded firmware and vehicle operating-system builds and testing.
- Design secure, staged, redundant, and rollback-capable OTA update systems for vehicles in the field.
- Define repository, artifact versioning, storage, and dependency-management architecture.
- Integrate hardware-in-the-loop rigs and simulation into release validation.
- Build developer observability and tooling for build health, test flakiness, and time-to-deploy.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in Developer Experience, Build Engineering, or Infrastructure supporting large-scale engineering organizations.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python, C++, Go, or similar languages, with deep knowledge of modern build systems and package managers such as Bazel, CMake, and UV.
- Hands-on experience scaling CI/CD systems, monorepo architectures, and automated testing pipelines for complex codebases.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, firmware builds, or containerized IoT operating systems such as Balena Linux or Yocto.
- Understanding of secure, fail-safe OTA deployment pipelines for edge hardware or robotics.
- Ability to reduce build and test cycle times, eliminate flaky tests, and resolve complex dependency graphs.
- Exceptional communication skills and an empathetic, cross-functional approach to supporting software, hardware, and robotics teams.
