Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver container runtimes for new cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.
- Build automation and operating standards for securely managing Kubernetes at scale with zero manual operations overhead.
- Adopt novel Kubernetes features and CNCF tools and contribute to upstream projects as needed.
- Design the next generation of Palantir infrastructure using internal systems knowledge and CNCF standards.
- Improve fleet scale, stability, security, observability, automation, and self-healing while deeply root-causing production issues.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience focused on core infrastructure and operational excellence.
- At least 2 years contributing to system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong systems programming experience with Go, C/C++, or equivalent.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Kubernetes operators, plus coding in Go, Java, or equivalent for automation and scripting.
- Deep familiarity with hardware and operating-system configurations, diagnostic tooling, networking fundamentals, containers, and Kubernetes at scale.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Compute Engine, data-center systems administration, or SRE work.
- Experience designing, building, and operating high-scale observability or infrastructure systems.
- Experience with CNIs or cloud networking infrastructure is preferred.
