Responsibilities
- Design PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, and queries for high-write workloads.
- Build, operate, and secure AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Utilize AI agents for code writing, testing, and deployment.
- Develop and scale backend services in Python/FastAPI.
- Own REST/OpenAPI contracts for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with data/ML teams on forecasting pipelines.
- Write and maintain test suites and enhance CI/CD processes.
- Participate in architecture decisions and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Solid experience with AWS services like Lambda and RDS.
- Experience designing and documenting REST APIs.
- Comfortable with containerized development using Docker.
- Self-starter with a startup mindset and ability to work independently.
- Strong instincts for testing and code review.
- Excellent written communication skills.
