Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure software applications and services.
- Implement cryptographic algorithms and secure communications protocols.
- Develop authentication, authorization, access control, and key management capabilities.
- Perform secure code reviews and vulnerability assessments.
- Support security compliance activities and document technical controls.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on security assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
- Develop maintainable and testable code using modern programming languages.
- Support integration activities involving secure computing environments.
- Contribute to technical documentation and engineering reviews.
- Support DevSecOps initiatives and automated security testing.
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience in secure software development and encryption technologies.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Experience working within Linux or Unix operating environments.
- Preferred experience in government, defense, or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of cryptographic protocols and key management systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.
- Experience with containerization and secure DevSecOps practices.
- Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
