Senior Principal Engineer
SambaNova SystemsResponsibilities
- Ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of the AI inference platform.
- Design and build components and systems for new AI inference challenges.
- Develop backend components using Python, Go, and Rust.
- Introduce new platform features and capabilities.
- Build and improve unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks and automation.
- Drive technical execution, engineering excellence, and software quality across critical infrastructure initiatives.
- Collaborate with ML, Product Managers, QA, and DevOps teams.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience building backend systems in Python, Go, or Rust.
- Strong experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes and Helm Charts.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and experience building scalable, reliable services.
- Knowledge of software development best practices and coding standards.
- Preferred: experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem and AI inference serving and orchestration.
- Preferred: experience with AI coding assistants and related technologies.
- Preferred: knowledge of ML application optimization and productionization.
- Preferred: ability to design and build cloud-native systems.
