Base Salary

$160k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Direct development of motion planning and control systems for industrial robotic arms used in high-precision pick-and-place operations.
  • Design and implement robust software interfaces with robotic arms for deterministic, real-time performance.
  • Lead technical design discussions and code reviews focused on real-time performance and system robustness.
  • Collaborate with robotics and controls engineers to design, implement, and validate control algorithms.
  • Develop reliable, production-grade software with emphasis on performance, robustness, and scalability.
  • Research and develop control strategies to improve robotic system performance, robustness, and versatility.
  • Travel to customer sites to manage software deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in robotic control development.
  • Experience developing and tuning control frameworks for robotic applications.
  • Experience with trajectory optimization, kinematics, and motion planning for multi-axis robots.
  • Expertise in Rust or C++ and software design, architecture, and complex real-time, multi-process systems.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial robotic arms and low-level hardware controllers.
  • Knowledge of robotic system design, integration, debugging, verification, and testing in demanding real-time environments.
  • Experience with robotic sensors such as cameras, force sensors, and grippers, including sensor integration, calibration, or real-time data processing.
  • Experience generating collision-free, time-optimal trajectories for robotic manipulators is a bonus.
  • A master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field is a bonus.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment is a bonus.
