Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases for embedded software used in industrial coding and marking equipment.
- Work in a cross-functional Scrum team with software, electronics, and mechanical engineers to ensure product quality throughout development.
- Execute functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Create test coverage for new products and maintain regression suites for existing products.
- Investigate internally and customer-identified software issues, reproduce defects, and work with development teams on resolution.
- Improve test automation by converting manual testing into scalable automated solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience testing embedded software and developing automated test solutions.
- Experience in an embedded software test environment and collaboration with software development engineers.
- Experience creating structured test cases from product requirements and executing software validation strategies.
- Experience with embedded test tools, including Hardware-in-the-Loop environments.
- Advantageous experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET, FitNesse, Zephyr, TestComplete, VBScript, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, TCL, Linux, HTTP, SOAP APIs, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Ethernet communication protocols, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or PLCs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical datasheets.
