Responsibilities
- Execute non-functional performance, load, stress, scalability, and chaos engineering test cases under senior guidance.
- Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of test environments.
- Collect test execution data and assist with analyzing performance bottlenecks and issues.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, defect reports, and related documentation.
- Use Jira to track testing tasks, defects, and progress and Confluence to access and contribute to documentation.
- Report defects and issues clearly to senior team members.
- Collaborate with development, functional testing, and operations teams on application architecture and testing requirements.
- Participate in training and knowledge-sharing activities related to non-functional testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or 0–2 years of relevant software quality assurance or testing experience.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Exposure to or basic understanding of performance, load, and stress testing concepts.
- Basic proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Preferred qualifications include software testing or engineering internship or project experience.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to automated testing frameworks or tools.
- Preferred qualifications include basic understanding of cloud platforms or containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Preferred qualifications include basic database concepts and SQL.
- Basic Linux/Unix command-line proficiency and familiarity with Git are relevant technical qualifications.
Benefits
- Full-time position based in Jersey City, New Jersey.
- Base salary range of $95,770.00–$133,630.00 per year.
