Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own and tune the EDR/MDR stack, including detection policies, response runbooks, and automation.
- Lead incident response from investigation through containment and remediation across endpoint, cloud, and identity incidents.
- Own endpoint security for managed and BYOD devices, including device posture standards, hardening baselines, and access policies.
- Define identity security requirements, shape the RBAC model, and drive recurring access reviews in the SSO environment.
- Build and remediate security controls across AWS infrastructure, Google Workspace, identity, and data protection.
- Respond to security tickets and employee questions while serving as Kin’s primary security resource.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments across systems, processes, and vendor implementations.
- Educate employees, promote security awareness, and drive remediation of security findings through completion.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security operations, detection and response, or security engineering.
- Hands-on experience running an EDR program, tuning detection logic, writing response runbooks, and leading investigations through containment.
- Experience securing managed and BYOD endpoint fleets, including device posture, hardening baselines, and MDM.
- Deep identity and access management experience with access controls, RBAC, and SSO access reviews.
- AWS security experience spanning IAM, network controls, logging, configuration management, and direct remediation of findings.
- Comfort working in infrastructure-as-code environments and automating security tasks.
- Experience with threat modeling across systems, processes, or vendor implementations.
- Experience partnering with IT, responding reliably to security requests, communicating risk to nontechnical audiences, and driving remediation accountability.
- Preferred qualifications include Terraform and CI/CD experience, zero trust networking, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, SOX, remote workforce security, security awareness programs, Google Workspace security administration, and certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, GCIH, or GCIA.
