Responsibilities
- Own Procurement Agents and the underlying System AI Harness from architecture and design through implementation, validation, release, and iteration.
- Design and evolve backend services, business logic, data flows, and integrations for AI-native procurement.
- Productionize AI Agent capabilities including planning, tool use, memory, multi-step reasoning, and orchestration.
- Prototype and evaluate emerging AI techniques and convert proven approaches into durable platform capabilities and engineering standards.
- Partner with product, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver complete solutions to complex problems.
- Improve reliability, performance, observability, operational stability, and code quality through systematic analysis and tuning.
- Lead technical roadmaps, mentor teammates through reviews and architecture guidance, and drive cross-team technical direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of backend development experience or equivalent depth, with ownership of complex medium-to-large systems end to end.
- Proficiency in one or more of Golang, Java, and Python, with strong backend architecture and complex service design experience.
- Strong distributed-systems foundation, including messaging middleware, relational databases, caching, asynchronous processing, idempotency, retries, rate limiting, and eventual consistency.
- Hands-on AI project experience with LLM applications, agents, RAG, tool or function calling, or AI-powered features, including taking capabilities into production.
- Strong performance analysis, tuning, reliability engineering, observability, and production operations experience at scale.
- Experience building platformized products or shared services, designing large-scale high-concurrency distributed services, and delivering highly available and fault-tolerant systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, function or tool calling, agent orchestration, evaluation, and AI-powered enterprise applications is preferred.
- Technical leadership, cross-team alignment, mentoring, open-source contributions, research publications, or competition achievements are valued.
