Responsibilities
- Evaluate, architect, and design the OS core and distribution layer.
- Develop and maintain embedded Linux core functionalities.
- Drive operating-system spins for a modular hardware concept.
- Develop software tools from scratch and port third-party software.
- Debug functional and performance issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Upstream sustainable implementations and support root-of-trust and security concepts.
- Perform initial hardware bring-up, ongoing optimization, and implementation of new features and tooling.
- Suggest improvements to products, software offerings, documentation, and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or equivalent training.
- Expertise in the Embedded Linux ecosystem, including Kernel, systemd, connectivity, and services.
- Advanced experience with the OpenEmbedded/Yocto Project build system.
- Advanced skills in C, C++, Python, and Bash.
- Familiarity with Bluetooth, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi communication peripherals.
- Experience in hardware development.
- Ability to read and understand hardware schematics and datasheets.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and bus protocol analyzers for low-level software development.
- Excellent English communication skills and strong analytical and technical understanding.
- High quality awareness, teamwork, integrity, and willingness to train on new technologies and legal aspects.
