Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build innovative products in a large distributed computing environment.
- Design, implement, maintain, and scale secure, reliable, low-latency backend services and APIs.
- Develop digital media supply chain capabilities for asset copying, transfer, transcoding, validation, automated quality control, storage, search, metadata extraction, tagging, discoverability, and lifecycle management.
- Design configurable ingest, approval, and distribution workflows integrated with Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, and internal systems.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to bring products and services to market.
- Work in an agile environment and deliver high-quality software.
- Apply design patterns, reliability, scaling, and operational excellence practices to new and existing systems.
- Use Java, Python, JavaScript frameworks, and AWS CDK to design and code solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience in the entertainment industry.
