Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, own, and operate services providing core features for Amazon EC2 Networking and large dynamic networks.
- Lead architecture decisions, participate in design and code reviews, and implement software across the development lifecycle.
- Manage day-to-day development activities on a small engineering team and ensure appropriate development practices are followed.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership and project planning.
- Communicate with users, AWS customers, technical teams, and senior management about requirements, product features, technical designs, and strategy.
- Maintain current technical knowledge and evaluate new technologies for the engineering and development teams.
- Participate in operations-related activities and provide ongoing support for delivered services.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
