Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales teams and internal customers to identify business problems and translate them into shippable software.
- Build and operate AI-powered prototypes across backend, data, and frontend layers.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into concrete engineering specifications and platform capabilities.
- Partner with applied scientists, data scientists, researchers, Product Management, and engineering teams.
- Operationalize prototype and research code into production-grade services.
- Influence platform roadmaps and help transition solutions from a consulting model to self-service capabilities.
- Represent the platform to executive leadership, partner teams, frontline Sales users, and the engineering community.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Architecture, full-stack product engineering, or a related highly technical cross-functional role.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills with proficiency in Python and JavaScript/Node.js.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, analytics workflows, and data pipelines.
- Functional understanding of LLM-powered systems, including prompts, retrieval, evaluation, and inference.
- Experience partnering with applied scientists, data scientists, or researchers and operationalizing prototype code.
- Working knowledge of GraphQL, microservices, and distributed systems architectures.
- Ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code and documentation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes Sales, Operations, or Finance workflows; LLM-powered or agentic AI applications; Dataiku, Snowflake, Airflow, or Python analytics pipelines; Node.js/Express.js, Apollo GraphQL, and React; tools, SDKs, or APIs; Docker and Kubernetes; and Langfuse or PagerDuty.
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
