
Software Engineer, Robotics Fleet Optimization

Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance, maintainable, fault-tolerant robotics software.
- Build task-planning, multi-agent path-planning, multi-robot coordination, and workload-optimization algorithms.
- Develop features supporting warehouse workflows including picking, packing, sorting, induction, and routing.
- Analyze production performance data to identify bottlenecks and guide algorithm and system improvements.
- Own features through algorithm design, implementation, testing, deployment, debugging, and performance validation.
- Contribute to fleet management, multi-agent orchestration, software infrastructure, continuous integration, on-call support, technical design reviews, documentation, sprint planning, and feature launches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience building production systems.
- Proficiency in at least one systems programming language, with Rust preferred and C++ accepted.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization, and reliable complex-system design.
- Ability to work across a large codebase and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience with multi-robot task planning, routing, simulation systems, warehouse automation, logistics software, large-scale distributed systems, Rust, cloud infrastructure, backend services, or event-driven architectures.
