Base Salary

$93k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own OKE platform service components through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operation.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues across distributed services while protecting dependent services and safe upgrade paths.
  • Analyze usage, performance, and error budgets to improve resilience and capacity.
  • Lead improvements in automated testing, deployment tooling, and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with OCI engineering teams and external partners to resolve dependencies and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, examples, and adoption guidance.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, investigate service incidents, address customer escalations, and restore service.
  • Perform operational maintenance and implement improvements that prevent recurring issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five or more years of software engineering experience building, delivering, and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining large Java or Go codebases.
  • Experience building automation and tooling using languages such as Python.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
  • Experience developing or managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Experience with overlay networking or container networking on Linux is preferred.
  • Experience with Linux system and service management is preferred.
  • Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is preferred.
  • Ability to debug and solve problems systematically, work independently, take responsibility for outcomes, communicate clearly, and collaborate across engineering teams.

  • US hiring range is $92,500 to $209,500 per annum, with possible bonus and equity eligibility.
