Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical direction for reliable, secure, and scalable application deployment capabilities across the OCI Developer Platform.
- Design durable platform primitives, APIs, data models, service architectures, and distributed systems for deployment and developer productivity.
- Align engineering teams and stakeholders around strategy, execution, and long-term platform standards.
- Remove systemic barriers to developer velocity while preserving safety, governance, reliability, and operability.
- Lead the design and delivery of production-quality platform services and remain accountable for outcomes in production.
- Establish foundations and safety controls for agentic engineering at cloud scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including leading the design and delivery of production-quality distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
- Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, or Python.
- Deep experience designing scalable, available, secure, operable, and evolvable APIs, data models, and service architectures.
- Understanding of cloud-native systems, containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering concepts.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, strategy definition, cross-team alignment, execution ownership, and production accountability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes application deployment platforms, continuous delivery, GitOps, artifact management, developer platform engineering, large-scale distributed systems, multi-tenant cloud services, control planes, workflow orchestration, platform architecture, site reliability engineering, incident response, observability, capacity planning, performance engineering, security engineering, identity and access management, policy-as-code, supply-chain security, compliance automation, AI-assisted developer tools, agentic workflows, or safety and governance controls.
