Responsibilities
- Develop embedded C/C++ software and real-time applications for navigation products.
- Create software tools, diagnostics, and infrastructure for hardware bring-up, factory testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with product managers and hardware engineers to meet requirements and ensure software and hardware designs align.
- Contribute to future product design and all stages of the product development lifecycle.
- Take ownership of project components, including deadlines, reporting, and delivery of quality software.
- Develop software in compliance with applicable international, regional, and industry-specific standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Adopt AI-assistance tools to improve coding workflows and problem-solving.
- Support team capability growth through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Degree-qualified engineer specializing in computer systems, software, mechatronics, or a similar field.
- At least 4 years of engineering experience with complex C/C++ embedded software products.
- Mandatory proficiency in C/C++.
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, real-time application development, low-power electronics, production-quality software, and the full product development cycle.
- Comfort with Linux and containerised applications.
- Experience with FreeRTOS and STM32 low-level programming.
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, time management, ownership, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience includes control systems, MATLAB, Python, ARM Cortex-A53 processors in FPGA SoC environments, AMD/Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC platforms, and the Yocto Project.
