Responsibilities

Design and present scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs, APIs, and platform services.
Lead technical discussions to identify customer goals, challenges, and requirements.
Build and deliver proof-of-concept solutions that demonstrate customer value.
Partner with Account Executives to position technical differentiation and shape opportunities.
Apply expertise in GIS, spatial data processing, and business value.
Communicate effectively with developers, architects, and senior decision-makers.
Provide structured feedback from the field to influence product and engineering roadmaps.
Stay current on emerging technologies in mapping, visualization, mobility, and AI.
Support enterprise customers across multiple domains, focusing on On-Demand Logistics, Telecommunications, and Weather.
Advise on cloud-native architectures and client-side SDKs for global deployments.
Review Mapbox solutions in alignment with customers’ data warehouses and analytics workflows.
Collaborate with customers to define technical success criteria.

8+ years in solutions architecture, pre-sales engineering, or enterprise consulting.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience with GIS, location intelligence, and geospatial data processing.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms; certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.
Proven experience with web and mobile technologies, especially JavaScript.
Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable technical architectures.
Demonstrated ability to articulate how technical architectures deliver business value.
Proven ability to work autonomously while partnering across cross-functional teams.
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and events.
