Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain KDB+/q components for real-time data capture and analytics generation.
  • Deliver software enhancements across requirements, development, testing, release, and production support.
  • Investigate production and data-quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
  • Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and backfill/recovery workflows.
  • Optimize q queries and data pipelines for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with traders, quantitative strategists, and regional technology teams in a front-office environment.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of KDB+/q experience working with large financial datasets in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Understanding of KDB architecture and production time-series data workflows.
  • Experience supporting process-oriented production systems.
  • Ability to work directly with front-office users in a fast-moving environment.
  • Python scripting or automation experience is preferred.
  • Snowflake experience is preferred.
  • Experience with equities electronic-trading systems is preferred.
