Responsibilities
- Optimize application, service, and operational health using performance, availability, and reliability metrics.
- Automate the deployment, administration, monitoring, and operation of applications and services.
- Establish and continuously review SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and OKRs, and create optimization plans.
- Improve reliability, resiliency, observability, operational readiness, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional implementation teams and conduct implementation and post-incident reviews.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies, products, services, infrastructure components, and load-balancing technologies.
- Mentor engineers and provide knowledge sharing on reliability engineering, observability, automation, incident management, and operational excellence.
- Oversee project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons for technology and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or at least nine years of site reliability engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least six years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Software Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience supporting and operating production applications, services, or enterprise technology platforms.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, incident response, automation, scripting, and reliability tooling.
- Experience collaborating across teams to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent production issues.
- Preferred experience supporting global customer-facing or business-critical digital products and services.
- Preferred experience managing SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs; leading major incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and distributed systems.
- Relevant Azure, cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering certifications are preferred, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
