Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure for consistency and scalability.
Build monitoring and logging systems to optimize performance and proactively resolve issues.
Manage hundreds of databases, including performance tuning and disaster recovery strategies.
Migrate Aurora MySQL to NewSQL.
Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and TPM teams to improve database processes.
Support identification and resolution of operational issues and participate in on-call rotation.

Over 10 years of experience in database operations, including building data-driven automated and scalable infrastructure.
10 years of hands-on experience with MySQL at a senior level.
5 years of experience with NoSQL data stores like DynamoDB and Cassandra.
5 years of experience in developing automation tools and code using Python.
Experience with NewSQL technologies such as TiDB, Spanner, and Aurora DSQL.
5 years of business communication and leadership experience.
5 years of experience implementing automation using modern software engineering practices with Python.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
Solid understanding of AWS-based data management technologies.
Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
Understanding of networking concepts such as load balancing and DNS.
Knowledge of container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
