Responsibilities
- Set the technical and cultural tone for the engineering team in Canada.
- Scale data processing and storage systems from terabytes to petabytes.
- Build and maintain real-time integrations with multiple EHRs.
- Drive improvements to core systems to support significant growth.
- Own cross-functional projects from technical design to successful rollout.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders and product managers on ambitious goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer focused on scalable back-end systems.
- Deep experience with storage systems, cloud-native services, and open source projects.
- Knowledge of common DevOps tools and practices.
- Strong understanding of quality and security engineering principles.
- Vision for great software and the leadership skills to achieve it.
- Excellent systems-level thinking and communication skills.
