Responsibilities
- Develop in-app and side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP while keeping the S/4HANA digital core clean and upgrade-ready.
- Build scalable full-stack Databricks-native applications and services that extend and integrate with SAP.
- Implement secure, resilient SAP and non-SAP integrations using SAP Integration Suite, APIs, OData v4, event-driven patterns, and change-data feeds.
- Embed AI-powered and agentic capabilities into finance workflows using RAG, prompt engineering, tool calling, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Build pipelines and extraction patterns using CDC, OData, and APIs to move SAP data into the Databricks Lakehouse with attention to modeling, lineage, and data quality.
- Write unit and integration tests, use CI/CD and transport pipelines, participate in code reviews, and follow security and coding standards.
- Collaborate with technical leads, functional experts, and product owners to turn requirements into production software.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of SAP development experience and production delivery of at least one end-to-end SAP solution.
- Strong command of ABAP Cloud, ABAP CDS, RAP, and OData v2/v4.
- Working-to-advanced experience with SAP BTP runtimes and services including Connectivity, Destination, and XSUAA/authentication.
- Experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and Fiori Elements.
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API Management, OData/REST, IDoc, Cloud Integration, and Event Mesh across hybrid landscapes.
- Understanding of SAP and Databricks AI capabilities, generative AI, agentic concepts, RAG, prompt engineering, grounding, tool calling, and enterprise AI governance.
- Comfort with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, VS Code, ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse, and MTA/CF packaging.
- Understanding of clean-core principles and side-by-side or in-app extension approaches.
- Preferred experience includes finance, procurement, or supply-chain domain knowledge; SAP Build/Joule Studio or SAP AI Foundation; Databricks application development; containerization, Kubernetes/Kyma, observability, and scalability patterns; and SAP certification.
- Clear communication and ability to collaborate across functional, product, and engineering teams.
