Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications, APIs, and cloud-based services.
- Implement well-defined software features and troubleshoot issues with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Collaborate with software engineers, scientists, product teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Participate in code reviews and document technical solutions and processes.
- Contribute to reliable, high-quality software for scientific research and laboratory operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- No prior professional software development experience is required.
- Programming fundamentals in one or more of Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, RESTful APIs, Git, automated testing, and software quality practices.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design principles.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure and Docker is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.
