Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve embedded software for Verkada’s device fleet.
- Develop and verify embedded software, firmware, and drivers using C, C++, and Go.
- Collaborate with hardware, product management, and cross-functional teams to build and ship customer-facing features.
- Experiment with new development boards and contribute features delivered over the air to the existing codebase.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while collaborating with senior engineers on future product specifications.
Requirements
- Be available to work at Verkada headquarters during winter or summer 2027.
- Be actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field and graduate by June 2027.
- Have internship experience developing and launching products.
- Have work experience with Embedded Linux, C, USB, I2C, and Yocto.
- Be familiar with Linux servers, Linux device drivers, Linux kernel patches, secure operating systems, and security-focused programming.
- Be comfortable working in an agile software development environment.
