Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reusable AI/ML platform infrastructure and shared services for development, deployment, and operations at scale.
- Architect, deploy, and operate secure cloud and container-based environments for training and inference, including GPU-intensive workloads.
- Develop platform tooling, automation, and infrastructure-as-code solutions for model deployment, environment provisioning, release management, and operational support.
- Build production-grade services, APIs, SDK integrations, and workflows supporting model training, serving, evaluation pipelines, and AI application lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with data science, ML engineering, and application teams to establish platform standards and deployment patterns.
- Optimize platform reliability, scalability, latency, and cost through orchestration, scheduling, and hardware acceleration.
- Establish monitoring, logging, observability, access-control, incident-response, and production-troubleshooting practices.
- Support enterprise LLM operationalization, including fine-tuning workflows and inference.
- Lead adoption of authorized AI-assisted engineering tools and establish standards for validating AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Coach engineers on responsible, secure, compliant, and effective use of AI-assisted software development practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Production software development experience in Python or Java, with secure, production-quality code.
- Strong foundations in distributed systems, microservices, and platform architecture and design.
- Experience architecting and operating cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and other major clouds.
- Demonstrated expertise with Terraform for infrastructure as code in large-scale cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including AWS EKS operations.
- Experience building or supporting production AI/ML platforms for training, deployment, and model serving or inference, including GPU infrastructure and tooling.
- Strong DevOps and platform engineering experience covering release automation, automated testing, and observability.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases and data integration, plus strong Linux, scripting, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred qualifications include Go or Python proficiency, experience with Kubeflow, MLflow, or similar MLOps platforms, familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or scikit-learn, and exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud architectures.
