Responsibilities
- Build, test, maintain, and deploy People-system automations and integrations across Workato, Google Cloud Platform, Claude, Workday, Greenhouse, GitLab, Slack, and internal tools.
- Develop Workday and Greenhouse integrations using Workday Web Services and build Slack apps and bots using Slack’s API and Bot SDK.
- Write, document, version, and peer-review automation code in Ruby or a comparable scripting language.
- Monitor integration health, troubleshoot failures, and fix root causes to maintain reliable automations at scale.
- Ship changes through GitLab CI/CD pipelines while following testing, change-management, and SOX IT general controls standards.
- Use AI tools, LLMs, Claude, AI agents, and Model Context Protocol frameworks to accelerate development and improve People workflows.
- Partner with People Technology Analysts, Information Security, IT, and AI Engineering on configuration, testing, releases, security, and standards.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building automations or integrations, ideally for human resources or business systems.
- Experience writing and maintaining Ruby or comparable scripting-language code, such as Python or JavaScript.
- Production experience with Workato or a comparable integration platform as a service.
- Experience with APIs and web services, including REST and SOAP.
- Proficiency with Git for version control and code review.
- Experience using AI tools to automate tasks, accelerate development, and improve processes.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, recommend durable solutions, collaborate openly, and protect confidential information.
- Related computing education or equivalent experience is welcome but not required; additional relevant experience with Workday integrations, Slack apps or bots, CI/CD pipelines, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Docker, Kubernetes, LLMs, AI agents, MCP frameworks, SOX ITGC controls, Greenhouse, Serval, or Google Workspace is beneficial.
