Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, and deploy inspection and metrology algorithms for semiconductor applications.
- Apply computer vision, image processing, machine learning, and deep learning to defect detection, classification, segmentation, registration, and related challenges.
- Optimize algorithms for high-throughput production using CPU, GPU, and parallel-computing techniques.
- Develop characterization methods, benchmarking frameworks, validation strategies, performance metrics, and data-driven improvements.
- Collaborate with product management, applications engineering, software, HPC, and systems teams to integrate algorithms into production software.
- Participate in technical design, prototyping, implementation, testing, optimization, product release, documentation, and resolution of product or customer issues.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of industry experience developing computer vision, image processing, machine learning, or computational imaging algorithms.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Strong knowledge of computer vision, image processing, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.
- Experience developing algorithms for complex, hardware-integrated systems and working in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Preferred qualifications include semiconductor inspection or metrology experience; expertise in detection, segmentation, registration, alignment, classification, anomaly detection, CNNs, transformers, self-supervised learning, model optimization, statistical analysis, experiment design, and performance characterization.
